Supernal Perspectives

Lanon: Cosmic Explorer

Oh, I don’t quite rise to the title of Explorer. Of course, I explore, yes. And yet, I am a student, a researcher, an adventurer. I’m more like a boy at play than a man at work. The whole idea of coming to Urth was as a student visitor, to report my findings as research, as a log. I somehow think exploring is the job of those who are far older and more experienced than myself, who are willing to take greater risks, perhaps. Although I think "taking risks" is probably a quality of character I have learned since I arrived here as a material being rather than one I had on Zenton.

I’ve learned a lot of new perspectives since I came back. I leave it to Audley to try to report the celestial viewpoints to the mortals of the realm. I will try to report the human viewpoints to the celestials. This is something about which humans have no comprehension. You think supernals know everything. You think celestials have all the answers. We don’t know anything about you or your realm until we begin to study it, pay attention to it, until it is called to our attention. We are not omniscient! The supernals are constantly being informed and amazed by the oddities of the human condition. You will learn more about this when Angus tells Audley about the circumstances when Angus and I first met, when I was a mere boy and he was a visitor to our world. Angus is an Explorer! He truly does explore worlds – early, young worlds, still teeming with unorganized energies and misdirected character. I was sheltered, by comparison. I was directed to Audley who protected me until I was released into the JCP and from then on they protected me. Angus HAD to be invisible. Otherwise, he would have been stoned. No doubt.

But you realize, of course, that I will always look up to my mentor, Angus. He is not only much older and wiser, he made my transition to making love with Audley so much easier. And for a man of the realm, that’s no insignificant factor. But lest I be diverted by such sentient appreciations, let me invite the field of adventure, let me encourage our embarkation, let me open the gates to a flood of insights. Come with me to learn of and explore the universe … the Greater Universe as well as the known galaxy … and find new and better ways of communicating the cosmic connection.
