Reflections
at The Stone House
On the Top of
the Crest
I grew weary painting
these rocks one at a time, but it was worth it. When it
was finished, I was able to see its symbolisms: The
crossbeam in the window, juxtaposed with the model’s red
blouse, gives this composition echoes of a crucifixion;
In the half light of dawn, when you least expect it, the
figure can be seen reflecting its burial shroud as well
as its resurrecting soul. (24” x 36”) |
